UP RERA Organizes 21st Real Estate Agent Training Programme in Lucknow

Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar, October 10, 2025: The four-day 21st Real Estate Agent Training Programme under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA), commenced on Wednesday at the Indian Literacy Board, Lucknow. The programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chairperson of the Real Estate Appellate Tribunal (REAT) Justice Shri Suneet Kumar in the presence of UP RERA Chairperson Sanjay Bhoosreddy.

In his inaugural address, Shri Sanjay Bhoosreddy said that promoters, agents and RERA are the three integral pillars of the real estate sector, working collectively towards the common objectives of consumer investment protection, transparency, and sustainable sectoral growth.
He emphasized that RERA was established to ensure accountability and maintain the trust of consumers in the real estate sector. He added that the training programme would help enhance the professional competence of real estate agents and provide them with in-depth knowledge of the RERA Act and related laws.
The UP RERA Chairperson advised participants to study the Apartment Ownership Act, Contract Act, and Transfer of Property Act thoroughly and to share only verified information available on the RERA portal with clients. He informed that it is mandatory to pass the examination conducted at the end of the training programme. Successful candidates will be awarded certificates, and their details will be uploaded on the RERA portal, after which they may apply for online agent registration.
In his keynote address, Hon’ble Justice Suneet Kumar said that RERA serves as a strong bridge between consumers, promoters, and agents. He urged real estate agents to remain fully updated with the RERA portal and the relevant Acts so that they can provide only accurate and authenticated information to buyers. He underlined that agents must always prioritize consumer interests and ensure that no misleading or false information reaches customers. Justice Kumar noted that agents often face challenges due to incorrect information or misrepresentation; therefore, maintaining transparency at every stage of work is essential. He encouraged all agents to personally inspect project progress and provide factual updates to prospective buyers.
On the first day, UP RERA Secretary Mahendra Verma interacted with participants and introduced the upcoming sessions and speakers. He highlighted the importance of ethical conduct in the real estate profession and delivered a detailed lecture on the RERA Act, its rules, and regulations.
Following this, System Analyst Ganesh Mishra made a presentation on guidelines related to project promotion and marketing as well as the use and features of the Agent Portal. In addition, subject experts are conducting sessions on the Stamp and Registration Act and other related topics.
