Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar, February 19, 2026: In an effort to strengthen transparency, professional competence, and accountability in the real estate sector, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority has further advanced its initiative by launching the 34th Real Estate Agent Training Program. This four-day training program commenced on Wednesday at the NIET campus in Greater Noida and is being organized in collaboration with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. A total of 48 participants are taking part in this training program, all of whom aspire to work as certified and registered real estate agents.

Addressing the inaugural session, UP RERA Secretary Mahendra Verma stated that this system of training and certification is a necessary step towards making the real estate sector in the state more organized, responsible, and compliant with regulations. He emphasized that participants should thoroughly study key laws such as the Apartment Ownership Act, the Contract Act, and the Transfer of Property Act.

The Secretary stated that real estate agents must provide customers only with verified and authentic information related to projects registered with UP RERA. He clarified that an examination will be conducted at the end of the training program, and candidates must successfully pass it in order to receive certification. Only thereafter will they be eligible to apply for registration as licensed real estate agents.

Verma said, “The objective of UP-RERA is not only to ensure compliance with rules, but also to develop a transparent, accountable, and trustworthy real estate ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.”

Key Topics of the Training Program

On the first day of the training program, Revenue Recovery Officer Anshuman Singh conducted a detailed session on the “RERA Act, UP RERA Rules and Regulations.” He provided comprehensive information on the project registration process, responsibilities of promoters, and provisions related to the registration, renewal, revocation, and penalties concerning real estate agents.

Additionally, CA Yash Agarwal conducted a special training session on guidelines related to project accounts and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

An examination will be conducted on the final day of the four-day training program. Candidates who pass the examination will be granted registration as real estate agents upon payment of the prescribed fee.

So far, UP RERA has successfully conducted 33 training batches in Lucknow and Greater Noida. More than 2,400 candidates have registered for this training program. The results up to the 29th batch have already been declared, in which 1,189 participants have successfully passed the examination and received their certificates.

Making training and certification mandatory prior to the registration of real estate agents is a significant and visionary initiative by UP RERA aimed at strengthening professional standards and ensuring effective protection of homebuyers’ interests.

On this occasion, Deputy Secretary Pankaj Saxena, Administrative Officer Subhash Babu, and Computer Programmer Vinay Kumar from the UP RERA Greater Noida office were present at the training program along with Prakash Narayan Pandey from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur.
