UP RERA Releases User Manual for Extension of Project Registration Process
Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar, October 10, 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (U.P. RERA) has released a User Manual for the Process of Extension of Project Registration on its official web portal.
The newly released manual provides step-by-step guidance to promoters for submitting online applications for extension of project registration in a smooth, accurate, and user-friendly manner, in accordance with the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2016, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate (Regulation and Development) (Agreement for Sale / Lease) Rules, 2018, and the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (General) Regulations, 2019, along with relevant orders and directions of the Authority.
The manual offers structured, pictorial instructions that simplify the application process and minimize errors or delays in project extension submissions. This systematic approach is expected to expedite application processing, making it easier for promoters to comply with statutory requirements and for the Authority to ensure timely, transparent reviews.
Part of a Series
The Extension of Project Registration Manual is the latest addition to U.P. RERA’s ongoing initiative to promote digital empowerment and stakeholder facilitation. Earlier, the Authority had released user manuals for Complaint Registration, Project Registration and Promoter Enrollment.
These manuals have been widely appreciated by stakeholders for simplifying complex procedures, building capacity, and enhancing compliance and trust in U.P. RERA’s regulatory framework.
The new manual continues this series of reforms, reflecting U.P. RERA’s commitment to create a transparent, efficient, and accountable real estate ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.
Empowering Promoters and Enhancing Transparency
U.P. RERA emphasizes that the new manual is not merely a procedural document but also a capacity-building tool. By providing clear guidance on statutory processes, it empowers promoters to handle extensions effectively, thereby improving compliance and efficiency.
Faster, more accurate applications will help improve processing times and enhance transparency and professionalism across the sector. These improvements will further strengthen trust and confidence between promoters, homebuyers, and the Authority.
Future Initiatives
The release of this manual is part of U.P. RERA’s broader digital transformation agenda, aimed at continuous process improvement and stakeholder facilitation. The Authority is also working on developing an Agent Training and Registration Manual, which will offer clear instructions for real estate agents to complete their registration and understand their roles and responsibilities more effectively. Together, these manuals form a comprehensive resource suite for all stakeholders—promoters, agents, and homebuyers—to navigate the regulatory environment with clarity and confidence.
Reinforcing Regulatory Vision
Since its inception, U.P. RERA has remained committed to improving transparency, accountability, and professionalism in Uttar Pradesh’s real estate sector. Protecting the interests of homebuyers while facilitating promoters and agents has always been central to its mission.

On this occasion, U.P. RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy expressed confidence that the new manual will serve as a valuable resource for all stakeholders. “I am confident that the User Manual for Extension of Project Registration will serve as a useful reference for promoters and other stakeholders in effectively navigating the online processes of the Authority. This initiative reflects our commitment to strengthening trust, transparency, and accountability in the real estate ecosystem of Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
