UP RERA’s 33rd Real Estate Agent Training Session Begins in Lucknow, Focus on Professional Competence
Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar, February 12, 2026: In a significant initiative aimed at making the real estate sector in Uttar Pradesh more transparent, well-organized, and consumer-centric, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority has taken another important step. In this sequence, the 33rd Real Estate Agent Training Session was inaugurated on Wednesday at the Indian Literacy House located on Kanpur Road, Lucknow. This four-day training program is focused on equipping agents with legal knowledge, professional skills, and a strong sense of ethical responsibility.
A total of 43 participants have enrolled in this batch, preparing themselves to work as certified and registered real estate agents. The program was inaugurated online by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy, from the Greater Noida office.
On the occasion, Indian Literacy Board Director Sandhya Tiwari expressed confidence that the training would prove highly informative and beneficial for the participants. RERA Secretary Mahendra Verma presented the detailed outline of the programme and urged participants to attend each session with seriousness and dedication.

In his address, Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy stated that the credibility of the real estate sector rests on three key pillars—Promoter (Developer), Real Estate Agent, and RERA. Balanced coordination among these three is essential to safeguard consumer interests and strengthen the positive image of the sector.
He emphasized that this training session serves as a strong platform to address participants’ queries, where they are provided with detailed knowledge of important laws such as the RERA Act, the Apartment Ownership Act, and the Transfer of Property Act. The objective is to enhance the understanding and competence of agents so that no promoter can exploit their lack of knowledge for unfair gains.
The chairman particularly highlighted the Construction Linked Payment Plan, stating that promoters must collect payments from customers strictly in proportion to the actual construction completed. He underlined that monitoring this process is a crucial responsibility of the agent also. If agents remain vigilant and responsible, the possibility of consumer exploitation will automatically reduce.
He further informed that an examination will be conducted upon completion of the training. Successful candidates will be awarded certificates, after which they will become eligible for registration as licensed real estate agents. Refresher courses will also be organized from time to time in the future to ensure that agents’ knowledge remains updated.
The chairman stated, “Our objective is not merely to ensure compliance with rules, but to establish a reliable, accountable, and transparent real estate system in Uttar Pradesh.” He also informed that through the ‘Agent Query’ email address issued by RERA, trained agents will be able to correspond directly with the Authority regarding any future issues or queries.
Key Topics Covered in the Training
On the first day, Adjudicating Officer Harish Tripathi provided detailed insights into the relevant provisions of the Contract Act and the Transfer of Property Act.
System Analyst Ganesh Mishra conducted a session on guidelines related to the promotion and marketing of projects, along with the functioning of the Agent Portal.
Additionally, the Legal Advisor elaborated on the rights and responsibilities of allottees and the penalty provisions applicable to agents. Mr. Shanti Bhushan Chaubey delivered a special lecture on legal provisions related to stamp registration.
Strictness and Transparency in Examination
An examination will be conducted on the final day of the four-day session. To ensure fairness and transparency, all electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, and laptops will be strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. After successfully clearing the examination and depositing the prescribed fee, candidates will be granted registration.
Training Provided to Over 1,000 Candidates So Far
So far, 32 training sessions have been successfully conducted in Lucknow and Greater Noida, with registeration of more than 2,400 candidates. Results up to the 27th session have been declared, in which 1,095 participants successfully passed the examination.
Making training and certification mandatory prior to agent registration is considered a significant policy decision aimed at strengthening professional standards in the state and ensuring effective protection of homebuyers’ interests.
Joint secretary Uma Shankar Singh, Assistant Director Amrish Kumar, Finance consultant Sudhanshu Tripathi, Media consultant Dr. Akash Yadav, and other officials were present at the training session.
