Vaasavi Group to Build Hyderabad’s First Direct Metro-to-Residential Skywalk in LB Nagar
Hyderabad, September 21, 2026: Real estate developer Vaasavi Group has announced Hyderabad’s first elevated skywalk directly connecting LB Nagar Metro Station to its residential township, Vasavi Ananda Nilayam, it said in a press release.
Developed through group entities Vasavi Avenues LLP and SR Infra & Developers, the project recently secured key statutory clearances, including No Objection Certificates from L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited and local traffic police. Designed and proof-checked by IIT Hyderabad, the structure will lift pedestrian traffic off National Highway 65 and reduce walk times between the metro concourse and the township from 12 minutes to under three minutes for over 3,600 residents and general commuters.
The project features ten main pillars built along the footpath adjacent to NH-65, alongside integrated ramps, lifts, and dropping staircases for universal accessibility. Construction is scheduled for completion within 180 days from the execution of the L&T Metro agreement, with Vaasavi Group handling execution, management, and ongoing maintenance. While previous skywalks in Hyderabad have linked stations to commercial IT parks and retail malls, this project marks the first direct metro integration for a private residential township in the city.
