Vedaanta Senior Living Launches ₹50 Crore Kottayam Project as Part of Aggressive Kerala Expansion Plan

Kottayam, April 21, 2026: Vedaanta Senior Living has announced its strategic expansion into Kerala’s senior living sector with the launch of “Vedaanta Eden Gardens” in Ettumanoor, Kottayam. The project is part of a broader ₹200 crore investment commitment the company has pledged to the state over the next three years. The Kottayam development, which represents a ₹50 crore investment, will feature 48 premium villas and approximately 30 apartments situated across four acres, with units starting at ₹76 lakh, the company said in a press release.

The move marks Vedaanta’s entry into Kottayam following established operations in Guruvayur and Kochi, and a planned community in Thrissur. By building a multi-city footprint, the company aims to address the rising demand in Kerala, where over 16% of the population is aged 60 or older—a demographic profile significantly higher than the national average. The project is designed to cater to seniors and NRI-linked families seeking organized communities that prioritize both independence and essential support.
Eden Gardens is conceptualized as a low-density, boutique community centered on a service-led living model. Beyond Vastu-compliant homes and landscaped green spaces, the facility will offer curated dining options, on-site nursing, paramedical support, and specialized consultations. Lifestyle amenities included in the development range from a yoga park and gym to a library and theater, supported by an on-campus Ayurvedic center intended to foster holistic well-being.
Strategically located near Kottayam town, the site provides residents with proximity to major hospitals, transport hubs, and markets. Vedaanta officials noted that the development is aimed at providing a “senior-friendly” environment that facilitates an active retirement while removing the burdens of daily maintenance through professional housekeeping and wellness infrastructure.

Speaking on the launch, Shreya Anand, Director, Vedaanta Senior Living, said, “Kerala represents a highly evolved market for senior living, with seniors increasingly choosing communities that offer independence, dignity, and quality of life. With Eden Gardens in Kottayam, we are bringing our wellness-led, community-first approach to the state. Our ₹200 crore investment commitment reflects our long-term vision to build trusted senior living ecosystems in Kerala.”
