New Delhi, July 31, 2026: Vikran Engineering Limited, a major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) player in the power transmission sector, has secured a new order valued at approximately ₹120.69 crore (exclusive of GST) from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) for the 400 kV GIS Substation Package SS-147. Won through a domestic competitive bidding process, the contract adds a marquee project to the company’s order book and cements its standing as a preferred EPC partner for India’s central transmission utility, the company said in a press release.

The project scope encompasses the complete design, engineering, manufacture, testing, supply, erection, and commissioning of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) equipment. The contract is designed to augment transformation capacity across three key facilities: the 400/220 kV Magarwada GIS Substation in Dadra & Nagar Haveli, the 765/400/220 kV Vadnagar GIS Substation in Gujarat, and the 400/220 kV Rajgarh Substation in Madhya Pradesh. Work will be carried out under two integrated contracts covering supply of goods and services for 400/220 kV GIS bays and allied infrastructure.
