Yamuna Expressway Authority Revenue Surges 90 Percent as Board Approves Mega Infrastructure and Industrial Projects

Greater Noida, August 17, 2026: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) recorded a 90.25 percent increase in overall receipts during the current financial year, with total revenue reaching Rs 1,853.74 crore up to July 31, 2026, compared to Rs 974.37 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. The financial update was presented during the authority’s 92nd board meeting on Monday, where major development projects—including a dedicated pharmaceutical cluster, a Taiwan-based industrial zone, and multiple public infrastructure initiatives—were formally approved. Revenue from the Industrial and Mixed Land Scheme accounted for Rs 1,195.99 crore, representing 86.17 percent of its total annual budget allocation, YEIDA said in a press release.
Alongside revenue expansion, authority expenditure rose significantly to Rs 3,690.64 crore up to July 31, 2026, compared to Rs 1,308.57 crore during the same period in the 2025-26 financial year. Out of the total expenditure, Rs 3,371 crore was directed towards land acquisition and bank loan repayments, up from Rs 1,385 crore spent under those heads in the previous year. To support continued land acquisition across Gautam Buddh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts for Phase-1 development, the board approved a 6 percent increase in land purchase rates from farmers. The revised rate has been fixed at Rs 4,558 per square metre, up from Rs 4,300 per square metre, with an alternative option offering Rs 4,037 per square metre along with a 7 percent population plot provision.
To boost industrial growth, the board approved the allocation of 300 acres in Sector-06 to establish a dedicated Taiwan City for Taiwan-based electronics and technology manufacturing companies. Additionally, 100 to 125 acres in Sector-06 will be reserved for a Pharmaceutical Formulation Manufacturing Cluster designed for finished dosage forms including tablets, capsules, injectables, oral liquids, and topical preparations under international Good Manufacturing Practice standards. In Sector-13 and Sector-14, 500 acres have been designated for a Medical Hub, while 480 acres in Sector-14 will house a University Township. The board also earmarked 50 acres in Sector-23D for an international stadium, 36 acres in Sector-34 for a Mandi, and land in Sector-23C for an interstate bus terminal near Noida Airport.
For the medical equipment sector, the board approved a Medical Device Testing Facility in the Medical Device Park conforming to the FDA Accreditation Scheme for Conformity Assessment standards, alongside the creation of a Technical Expert Committee to oversee its technical, financial, and institutional setup. The facility will offer testing for electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, mechanical performance, software validation, sterilization, and packaging validation, reducing domestic manufacturers’ reliance on overseas laboratories. For regional transport infrastructure, the board sanctioned the construction of a culvert over the Karban River on the service road at Chainage 161.21 of the Yamuna Expressway in Agra district to address seasonal waterlogging and maintain uninterrupted local traffic during the monsoon.
