YEIDA holds lucky draw for allotment of plots

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Monday conducted a lucky draw for allotment of 900 affordable residential plots. The draw was held manually under the supervision of two district judges, a former IAS officer and senior YEIDA and Gautam Budh Nagar administration officials.
The draw, held under heavy police presence, lasted about six hours. It was held at the Community Centre in Greater Noida’s Sector P-3. Chits of applicants were drawn by city schoolchildren.
According to YEIDA officials, the Authority had received more than 9,800 applications for the scheme launched in September this year. Of the total 900 residential plots, 600 are of 120 square metres, while 300 are of 160 sq m in area.
“We will try our best to hand over the allotment letters before Diwali, “a senior YEIDA official was quoted as saying in the media.
