UP RERA Begins 28th Agent Training Programme in Lucknow
Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar, December 17, 2025: The 28th batch of the Agent Training Programme, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA), commenced on Wednesday at India Literacy House located on Kanpur Road, Lucknow. This four-day training programme aims to provide agents with in-depth knowledge of the legal, ethical, and practical aspects related to real estate. A total of 44 participants are taking part in this programme.

The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. In the inaugural session, UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy said that the framework of this training programme has been developed after years of extensive deliberation and planning. During the programme, participants will receive detailed information on all important provisions, rules, and regulations related to RERA. He emphasized that the long-standing negative perception of the real estate sector has affected not only promoters but also buyers and agents. RERA was established with the objective of resolving these issues.
He further stated that this training programme would help agents develop a deeper understanding of their ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities. The chairman added that just as all documents of a project are thoroughly scrutinized before registration, agents too must have complete knowledge of all facts related to projects and assets and maintain transparency with their clients. This will help strengthen consumer trust. Following this, RERA Secretary Mahendra Verma briefed all participants on the four-day training schedule.
On the first day of training, Principal Advisor Abrar Ahmad conducted a session on “RERA Act, UP RERA Rules and Regulations.” This was followed by a session by Adjudicating Officer Harish Tripathi, who spoke on “Relevant Provisions of the Contract Act and the Transfer of Property Act.” Additionally, useful sessions were held on “Guidelines for Promotion and marketing of projects,” “Functions of the Agent Portal,” and “Provisions related to Stamp Registration.”
UP RERA has been continuously organizing such training programmes for real estate agents across the state so that they can bring greater transparency, integrity, and professional efficiency to their work. So far, 2000 agents across 27 batches have been trained. Such programmes not only enable agents to provide accurate information to consumers but also strengthen the culture of trust and accountability in the real estate sector.
The event was attended by India Literacy Board Director Sandhya Tiwari, UP RERA Joint Secretary Uma Shankar Singh, Finance Consultant Sudhanshu Tripathi and Assistant Director Amrish Kumar.
