UP RERA Holds 32nd Training Programme for Real Estate Agents in Greater Noida
Lucknow/Gautam Buddh Nagar, February 8, 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) has taken another important initiative by commencing the 32nd Real Estate Agent Training Programme. This four-day training programme began on Wednesday at the NIET campus, Greater Noida, and is being organized in collaboration with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur.
A total of 50 participants from various districts of the state are taking part in this training programme, who aspire to work as certified and registered real estate agents. The formal inauguration of the programme was conducted online by UP RERA Secretary Mahendra Verma, while the ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by Deputy Secretary Pankaj Saxena and Recovery Officer Anshuman Singh. On this occasion, UP RERA Financial Consultant Sudhanshu Tripathi, Joint Secretary Uma Shankar Singh, and Assistant Director Ganesh Mishra were also present through online mode. From Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, Associate Professor Shashikant Tripathi and Assistant Professor Mohit Awasthi were present as part of academic collaboration.
Addressing the inaugural session, the UP RERA Secretary said that this system of training and certification is a strong step towards operating the real estate sector in the state in a more disciplined, accountable, and rule-compliant manner. He said that participants will be provided with detailed and practical knowledge of important provisions, rules, and regulations related to the RERA Act.
Referring to the challenges that have existed in the real estate sector for a long time, Verma said that their negative impact has affected promoters, agents, and homebuyers alike. It was against this background that RERA was established with the objective of ensuring transparency, accountability, and protection of consumer interests. He clarified that an examination will be conducted after the completion of the training programme, and certificates will be awarded to the successful candidates. Only thereafter will they be eligible to apply for registration as licensed real estate agents.
He stated that the objective of UP RERA is not merely to ensure compliance with rules, but to build a transparent, reliable, and accountable real estate system in Uttar Pradesh, so that public confidence in this sector is further strengthened.
Major Topics of Programme
On the first day of the training programme, a detailed session on the topic ‘RERA Act, UP RERA Rules and Regulations’ was conducted by Recovery Officer Anshuman Singh. In another session, the process of project registration, responsibilities of promoters, and various compliance-related aspects were also elaborately explained by him. Thereafter, Shri Raghavendra conducted a session on registration, renewal, revocation, and penal provisions related to real estate agents. Along with this, participants were also trained on guidelines related to project accounts and the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
On the final day of this four-day training programme, an examination will be conducted. Candidates who successfully pass the examination will be granted registration as real estate agents after depositing the prescribed fee.
Concrete Initiative
So far, a total of 31 training batches have been successfully organized in Lucknow and Greater Noida, in which approximately 2,350 candidates have registered for training. Results up to the 27th batch have been declared, in which 1,095 participants have successfully completed the training and passed the examination. Making training and certification mandatory prior to agent registration is an important part of UP RERA policy, aimed at strengthening professional standards in the real estate sector while also ensuring the protection of homebuyers’ interests.
