WeWork India Launches ‘Rivet’ to Disrupt Fragmented Design and Build Market; Arnav S. Gusain Named CEO

We Work scaled

New Delhi, March 10, 2026: WeWork India Management Limited has officially announced the launch of Rivet by WeWork India, a comprehensive design and build (D&B) platform aimed at providing end-to-end workspace solutions for enterprises and end-users. The move signals WeWork India’s evolution from a flexible workspace provider into a full “workspace-as-a-service” ecosystem. By offering a single contract and unified accountability, Rivet seeks to address the historical inefficiencies of India’s fragmented multi-vendor design landscape, which often struggles with cost visibility and execution certainty, the company said in a press statement.

The launch coincides with a significant leadership appointment, as Arnav S. Gusain has been elevated to Chief Executive Officer of Rivet. Gusain will maintain his current responsibilities as Chief Supply Officer at WeWork India, a dual role intended to ensure strategic continuity across the company’s real estate and delivery functions. The platform arrives at a period of high momentum for the Indian office market, which saw gross leasing activity hit a record 83.3 million square feet in 2025, driven largely by the rapid scaling of Global Capability Centres (GCCs).

Commenting on the strategic shift, Karan Virwani, Managing Director & CEO of WeWork India, emphasized the depth of experience backing the new venture. “India’s workplace landscape is evolving rapidly. Over the past eight years, we have built deep insight into how enterprises operate and how workspace shapes performance, while designing, evaluating, and operating over 8.2 million square feet across markets,” Virwani stated. “Working with businesses of varying scale and sizes, and a broad partner ecosystem has given us real-time understanding of what truly drives workplace success. Rivet brings that experience together into an integrated platform by combining behavioural insight, operational depth, and execution capability. It is built to deliver premium commercial workspaces that perform at scale, with the precision and confidence that enterprises demand.”

Rivet differentiates itself through a tech-enabled delivery model featuring BIM-led planning, real-time site monitoring, and structured financial governance. The platform is designed to minimize the “execution cost risk” that typically leads to projects being delivered over budget or behind schedule. Beyond the initial handover, Rivet plans to support workspaces as evolving ecosystems through integrated infrastructure and workplace technology. To date, the team has already completed landmark projects for global agricultural leaders and major corporate headquarters, representing a cumulative project value of nearly ₹50 crore.

Arnav S. Gusain, the newly appointed CEO of Rivet, highlighted how the platform’s “operational DNA” sets it apart from traditional design firms. “Enterprises today are making increasingly strategic workplace investments, yet the delivery ecosystem has not evolved at the same pace. Rivet is connected to our larger vision of building infrastructure as a platform and service, where D&B is not isolated from real estate intelligence, but informed by it,” Gusain explained. “What differentiates us is our operational DNA. We don’t just design spaces, we understand how they perform at scale and over time. That perspective enables future-ready design thinking – from smarter space planning and adaptability to embedding human-centric elements that enhance collaboration, productivity, and well-being.”

With operations already established across eight cities and a network of over 1.21 lakh desks, WeWork India views Rivet as a natural extension for clients who have outgrown flexible spaces but still require the brand’s signature design and operational expertise. Virwani added, “Rivet is a natural extension of our core business. It allows us to continue serving members who have grown with us and may now seek their own independent spaces, while also engaging new enterprise clients who can benefit from our integrated design and build expertise. It strengthens our ability to serve their broader workspace needs across markets.”
