UP RERA Streamlines Agent Onboarding with New Digital User Manual
Lucknow / Gautam Buddh Nagar: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has released a comprehensive User Manual for Real Estate Agent Registration. This new digital guide, hosted on the Authority’s official web portal, is designed to provide structured, step-by-step guidance for agents navigating the mandatory online registration process, ensuring they remain compliant with state regulations while simplifying the submission workflow through the use of website screenshots and detailed instructions, a press release from UP RERA said.
The manual serves as a complete roadmap for applicants, beginning with the initial creation of login credentials and moving through the specific requirements for various legal entities. Whether an applicant is an individual, a proprietorship firm, a partnership, a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), or a full-scale company, the guide offers tailored instructions for updating basic details and submitting the necessary documentation. This initiative is the latest addition to UP RERA’s suite of digital governance tools, following previously released manuals for project registration and complaint filing that have been widely adopted by industry stakeholders.
Central to the registration process highlighted in the manual is the mandatory training and certification program, which agents must complete before they can finalize their state registration. This educational curriculum is designed to familiarize prospective agents with the core provisions of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, as well as specific UP RERA rules, promoter responsibilities, and a strict code of professional conduct. The program concludes with a formal examination; currently, training centers in Lucknow and Greater Noida have already processed and certified over 1,500 candidates.

Emphasizing the importance of this digital transition, U.P. RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy highlighted the manual’s role in professionalizing the sector.
“I am confident that the User Manual for Real Estate Agent Registration will serve as a valuable guide for real estate agents in the state. The mandatory training and certification program has been designed to enhance awareness of real estate agents on key legal, operational and ethical practices with the aim to create well-learned agents in the state. The user manual is an progressive step towards transparency and ease of doing business,” Bhoosreddy stated.
This latest facilitation initiative underscores UP RERA’s ongoing commitment to fostering an efficient and accountable real estate environment. By providing clear technical workflows and emphasizing the necessity of legal literacy through its training programs, the Authority aims to protect the interests of homebuyers while making it easier for legitimate professionals to operate within the state’s evolving regulatory framework.
