Schindler India Unveils New Suite of Designer Elevator Interiors

Mumbai, April 11, 2026: Schindler India, a global leader in vertical transportation, has announced the launch of an extensive new suite of contemporary elevator interiors. The rollout aims to redefine the aesthetic standards of lifts, moving beyond simple utility to offer architects, designers, and developers a highly customizable canvas that reflects a building’s unique identity, the company said in a press release.
This launch represents the largest design initiative of its kind for Schindler India, introducing a vast array of materials, colors, and textures. By collaborating closely with architectural experts, the company has developed a range that allows for the seamless integration of elevator cabins into ambitious projects, whether they are ultra-modern skyscrapers or refurbished historic structures. The versatility of the new collection ensures that the vertical journey becomes an immersive experience rather than a mere transition between floors.
Central to this new offering is the introduction of five curated décor themes designed to meet evolving global and local tastes. “Natural Nuances” focuses on organic textures to bring a sense of the outdoors inside, while “Tone on Tone” offers monochromatic elegance. “Architectural Elegance” blends historical and modern styles, “Accent Colour” provides bold statement options for high-contrast environments, and “Digital Spaces” emphasizes futuristic, minimalist forms integrated with technology.
Within these five themes, designers can further personalize spaces using a diverse palette of wall finishes, including laminate, steel, glass, and ceramic. The customization extends to every detail of the cabin, offering various options for handrails, flooring, ceilings, and car doors to ensure a cohesive look.

Commenting on the launch, Shailesh Vilankar, Senior Vice President – Field Operations, Schindler India, said, “For our customers, this is about more than finishes. It’s about creating a seamless flow from the lobby to the lift interior, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the character of their building. Whether it is bold accent colours, calming natural tones, or digitally connected interiors, Schindler Designs gives developers and architects the flexibility to personalise without compromising performance. Our focus remains simple – deliver design choices that elevate user experience while maintaining the reliability and service excellence our customers expect from us.”
The shift toward design-centric infrastructure reflects a broader trend in the real estate market where every element of a building contributes to its overall brand and user journey. Schindler’s new suite is positioned as a response to this demand for more sophisticated, identity-driven spaces.

Tarunesh Mathur, President and CEO of Schindler India, emphasized the strategic importance of the launch, stating, “Design has always shaped how we experience buildings. With Schindler Designs, we are taking that conversation further by integrating architectural elegance, material innovation, and digital intelligence into one cohesive experience. Across markets globally, we see a clear shift: customers no longer view elevators as infrastructure alone, but as an extension of their building’s identity. These five contemporary themes reflect that evolution. They combine aesthetics with technology in a way that enhances everyday journeys while staying true to our core values.”
