Vinod, the Managing Director of Cybercity Builders and Developers Pvt Ltd., steps into this leadership role as Hyderabad solidifies its reputation as a premier hub for green building adoption and sustainable urban growth in India, a press release from IGBC Hyderabad said.
Bringing more than 20 years of real estate expertise and a career spanning four decades across various industries, Vinod has been a vocal advocate for environmentally responsible construction. His firm, Cybercity Builders and Developers, has gained recognition for integrating IGBC’s green and net-zero frameworks into its projects. His extensive background—ranging from chemicals to construction equipment—is expected to provide a multi-dimensional perspective to the council’s mission of promoting future-ready, intelligent urban planning.The appointment comes at a critical juncture for the region’s real estate sector.
Hyderabad currently hosts a vast portfolio of certified green IT parks, commercial spaces, and residential developments, supported by proactive government policies. In his new capacity, Vinod will collaborate with Srinivasa Murthy, Chairman of the IGBC Hyderabad Chapter, to deepen industry participation and drive knowledge-sharing initiatives among regional developers and policymakers.The focus of the chapter moving forward will be the acceleration of net-zero concepts and the strengthening of sustainable urbanization practices.
