Gurugram, May 2, 2026: The SPJ Group hosted a specialized health camp for on-site workers at its Vedatam project in Sector 14 on May 1. The initiative, timed to coincide with Labour Day, aimed to bridge the gap between demanding physical labor and essential healthcare access, the company said in a press release.

The health camp provided workers with a comprehensive suite of medical screenings designed to monitor long-term health and detect potential occupational stressors. These services included blood sugar testing, cholesterol screenings, and complete blood counts to identify issues such as anemia or underlying infections. Furthermore, the camp facilitated liver and kidney function tests, ensuring a thorough evaluation of the vital organ health of the site’s workforce.

During the event, medical professionals were stationed on-site to provide immediate consultations and offer guidance on managing health within the rigors of the construction industry. The initiative was designed to bring preventative care directly to the workplace, removing the barriers that often prevent manual laborers from seeking routine medical attention.

Emphasizing the company’s commitment to its employees, Pankaj Jain, Founder and CMD of SPJ Group, noted that the health of the workforce is central to the project’s success. “For us, Labour Day is not just about acknowledgement, it’s about action. The people working on our sites are at the heart of everything we build, and their well-being cannot be treated as an afterthought. Through this health camp, we are trying to make care more accessible and immediate. We believe our responsibility extends beyond construction timelines and delivery; it includes creating an environment where people feel supported, valued, and looked after in a real, tangible way,” Jain said.

The health camp underscores a broader philosophy within the SPJ Group that infrastructure development must go hand-in-hand with human-centric practices. By prioritizing the physical well-being of the individuals behind the Vedatam project, the company continues to advocate for a holistic approach to real estate development that recognizes the strength of the people who build it.
