Ceigall India Joint Venture Secures ₹918-Crore Jaipur Metro Expansion Project
New Delhi, May 2, 2026: A joint venture led by Ceigall India Limited (CIL) has been awarded a ₹918.04 crore contract for the construction of Jaipur Metro’s Phase-II. The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd issued the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to the CIL–SAM India JV, marking a major expansion for the city’s mass rapid transit system. The joint venture is structured with Ceigall India Limited holding a dominant 74% stake, while SAM India Builtwell Pvt. Ltd. maintains the remaining 26% share, CIL said in a press release.
The ambitious infrastructure project involves the design and construction of a 10.8-kilometer elevated viaduct and a series of ten elevated metro stations. The scope of work spans from chainage -600 m to 11,400 m and includes a dedicated spur line leading to the depot. Under the terms of the agreement, the joint venture is tasked with completing the structural development within a strict 34-month execution timeline. The designated stations along this new corridor include Prahladpura, Manpura, Bilwa Kalan, Bilwa, Goner Mod, Sitapura, JECC, Kumbha Marg, Haldighati Gate, and Pinjrapole Gaushala.
This contract represents a strategic shift for Ceigall India, which has traditionally focused on large-scale road and highway developments. By entering the urban transit sector, the company aims to broaden its footprint in the national infrastructure landscape. The total project cost of ₹918.04 crore is inclusive of 18% GST, reflecting the substantial scale of the engineering and construction requirements involved in modernizing Jaipur’s transit network.
