Siliguri, May 6, 2026: TVS Industrial & Logistics Parks (TVS ILP) has announced its expansion into the Eastern market after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a new logistics facility in Siliguri. The agreement, which covers 10 acres of land, was finalized in a meeting between Dr. Ramnath Subramaniam, Joint Managing Director of TVS ILP, and Jayesh Sinhal, Executive Director of the Kolkata-based Ram Niwas Group, TVS-ILP said in a press release.

The move marks a strategic play for the corporate developer, as Siliguri serves as a vital multimodal transit hub and the primary gateway to Northeast India. By establishing a presence in this corridor, which connects major trade routes to Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh, TVS ILP aims to facilitate a shift toward organized, Grade A warehousing. The project is expected to streamline regional supply chains, bolster local commerce, and stimulate job creation within West Bengal’s industrial sector.

Reflecting on the importance of the expansion, Dr. Ramnath Subramaniam, Joint Managing Director, TVS ILP, said, “West Bengal is an important market for industrial and logistics growth, supported by its strategic location and strong regional connectivity. Siliguri plays a critical role as a gateway to Northeast India and neighbouring international markets, making it a highly relevant logistics hub. With sectors such as e-commerce, FMCG, pharma and regional distribution networks expanding their footprint, we see strong demand for organised, Grade A warehousing in this region. This development also marks our second major investment in West Bengal, reinforcing our long-term commitment to the state.”

This latest venture further solidifies TVS ILP’s footprint in East India and follows recent MoUs signed with the governments of Telangana and Karnataka. As the company continues to target emerging markets and high-potential hubs, this development highlights its ongoing role in formalizing India’s logistics ecosystem and addressing the rising demand for high-specification industrial infrastructure, the press release added.
