Batter Bar Expands in Tricity with New French Pastry and Specialty Coffee Café at CP67 Mohali
Mohali, May 17, 2026: Celebrated French pastry and specialty coffee brand Batter Bar has officially opened its newest outlet at the CP67 mall in Sector 67, Mohali, marking a significant expansion of its presence within the Tricity region. Founded by pastry chef Abhinav Sundra, the brand is known for blending classical French pastry techniques with a modern, welcoming café experience.
According to a press release, the brand’s trajectory began as a home-based venture in 2020 before expanding into its first brick-and-mortar café in Sector 7, Chandigarh, in August 2024. Sundra, who trained at The French Pastry School in Chicago and worked under acclaimed pastry house Pierre Hermé in Paris, built the concept around both international culinary standards and deep personal inspiration.
“Batter Bar has always been far more than just a business for me,” said Sundra, sharing the story behind the brand. “It was my father’s dream to create a space built around food, warmth and togetherness. That vision became the foundation of Batter Bar. Every dessert we create and every experience we curate carries that emotion forward.
“Reflecting on his journey and connection with the city, Sundra added, “My years in France had a huge influence on my understanding of pastry and café culture. Interestingly, the street where I lived in Paris was called Rue de Chandigarh, which always felt like a meaningful connection back home. Somewhere along the journey, I knew I wanted to bring that European café experience back to Chandigarh and the Tricity. CP67 felt like the perfect destination for that next chapter.
“The new Mohali location will feature Batter Bar’s signature lineup of artisanal coffees, customized cakes, and authentic French-style pastries, including its popular Plaisir Sucré—a milk chocolate and hazelnut petit gâteau. Over the years, the café has grown from a bakery into a vibrant, community-centric space favored by young professionals and dessert enthusiasts alike.
Mall leadership welcomed the addition as a strong fit for the venue’s premium retail and lifestyle mix.
