SAIL and MDI Gurgaon Partner for Executive Leadership Training
New Delhi, May 31, 2026: Steel Authority of India Limited’s (SAIL) Management Training Institute (MTI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon to launch a collaborative Executive Education Programme. Signed at the SAIL Corporate Office on May 20, 2026, the partnership focuses on building future-ready leaders within the public sector steel manufacturing company, SAIL said in a press release.
The joint initiative aims to blend academic rigor with practical industrial application to enhance institutional capacity and align operations with international corporate standards. The newly established training framework will feature customized leadership development, strategic learning workshops, and targeted action learning modules designed to yield measurable business outcomes. Furthermore, the collaboration outlines plans for joint consulting initiatives, specialized corporate research, overseas training programs, and the creation of tailor-made business case studies for SAIL executives.
The formal agreement was executed by Sanjay Dhar, Executive Director (HR-L&D), MTI, SAIL, and Prof. Sumita Rai, Dean of Industry Connect, MDI, Gurgaon. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of K. K. Singh, Director (Personnel) of SAIL, alongside other senior leadership members from both institutions.
