Ammann India Hosts Hyderabad Seminar to Advance Sustainable Asphalt Recycling Technologies

New Delhi, June 22, 2026: Road construction equipment manufacturer Ammann India recently convened over 70 delegates from 35 organizations for a specialized seminar focused on integrating advanced recycling technologies into the nation’s road infrastructure ecosystem. Held at the Novotel Hi Tech City in Hyderabad, the event served as a collaborative platform for infrastructure companies, researchers, and policymakers to address rising material costs and resource efficiency through the wider adoption of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP), Ammann India said in a press release.
The seminar featured comprehensive technical presentations from academic and industry leaders, including Ammann India executives Prasad Dayal and Martinho J. Fernandes, alongside Dr. Dharamveer Singh of IIT Bombay, Dr. Manoranjan Parida, former director of CSIR-CRRI, Dr. Ramya Sri Mullapudi of IIT Hyderabad, and Rajesh Kumar Pandey of Vertis Infrastructure Trust. The sessions specifically analyzed high RAP utilization, rejuvenator technologies, evolving policy frameworks, and pavement recycling practices aimed at lowering fuel consumption and reducing the industry’s dependence on virgin raw materials without compromising pavement quality.

During his address to the delegates, Dheeraj Panda, Managing Director of Ammann India, emphasized that the next decade of infrastructure development must prioritize resource optimization. “The defining question for India’s road construction industry over the next decade will not be how much infrastructure we build, but how much value we can create while consuming fewer virgin resources. The industry’s competitive advantage will increasingly come from innovation, circularity, and technology-led resource optimisation. Solutions such as Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) represent a fundamental shift in how we think about road assets as resources which can be renewed. Collaboration between industry, policymakers, researchers, and technology providers are critical to enable an ecosystem for recycling. Through discussions like these Ammann aims to achieve this and make recycling an integral part of road construction in India,” Panda said.
The discussions placed a strong regional focus on Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, where ongoing transportation investments are heavily driving the demand for modern construction technologies. Ammann India, which currently commands an estimated 50% market share across these two states, highlighted its local deployment of machinery capable of handling up to 60% advanced asphalt recycling. The seminar concluded with a unified commitment from the participating stakeholders to accelerate technology adoption and strengthen institutional collaboration, positioning sustainable recycling practices as a cornerstone for meeting India’s long-term infrastructure demands.
