LTSCT Unveils 40 Products at SEMICON India 2026
New Delhi, September 18, 2026: L&T Semiconductor Technologies Limited (LTSCT), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, unveiled 40 products at SEMICON India 2026 under the theme “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem.” The product portfolio targets national security, digital sovereignty, and energy resilience, spanning secure identity, intelligent surveillance, IP cameras, and communication solutions for critical infrastructure. The technologies also aim to address requirements for indigenous compute and connectivity as India expands its data centre and AI infrastructure, LTSCT said in a press release.
The showcase marked two operational milestones for the company: its first Silicon Carbide (SiC) product platform and the tape-out of a designed-in-India brushless DC (BLDC) motor controller. The 1200V SiC MOSFET platform is engineered for power conversion applications, including electric vehicle fast chargers, microgrids, solid-state transformers, and traction inverters. Meanwhile, the BLDC motor controller integrates protection features to support extended product warranties, with a flexible architecture designed to serve multiple models, lower bill-of-materials costs, and support energy-efficient ceiling fans.
Dr Sandeep Kumar, Chief Executive, L&T Semiconductor Technologies Limited, emphasized the strategic intent behind the developments. “We firmly believe that India’s next growth chapter will be driven as much by digital technologies as by megastructures. LTSCT is how we back that belief with investment, engineering talent and long-term commitment. As the India Semiconductor Mission works to build a trusted, self-reliant chip ecosystem, LTSCT is designed to be one of its key pillars, bringing decades of L&T’s engineering discipline to a sector that will define India’s technological sovereignty for the foreseeable future,” Sandeep Kumar said.
Aligning with the Semicon 2.0 initiative, the firm is working to advance semiconductor design into scalable, market-ready solutions through ecosystem collaboration. Its live demonstrations at the event featured Analog & Mixed Signal technologies, including the BLDC controller and an in-house designed USB C GaN charger.
The Compute portfolio highlighted an indigenous Vision Camera SoC with on-device AI acceleration alongside a Secure Identity Platform for e-passports, payment cards, and national ID systems. In Connectivity & RF, the company presented four modules for smart metering, automotive uses, and digital payments, including a dynamic QR and soundbox proof of concept for NPCI’s proposed Trusted Device Layer. The Power Discrete segment displayed MOSFETs, diodes, bridge rectifiers, and LTSCT’s first in-house SiC power modules.
