SDLG India Announces Rs 1,500 Crore Investment to Boost Manufacturing and Localization

Bengaluru, September 21, 2026: Construction equipment manufacturer SDLG India has announced plans to invest approximately Rs 1,500 crore in India to drive future expansion and capacity building. As the initial phase of this strategy, the company has invested Rs 300 crore in a new manufacturing plant in Gujarat. The facility will support a phased production capacity of up to 3,000 units annually, focusing on wheel loaders, excavators, and electric vehicles while increasing local sourcing from Indian suppliers, SDLG India said in a press release.

In tandem with the expansion, SDLG India unveiled 10 new construction equipment products across diesel and electric excavators, wheel loaders, and motor graders for the infrastructure and mining sectors. The expansion of the company’s manufacturing footprint and dealer network is expected to generate around 2,500 indirect employment opportunities across the country.
