Real Estate Stakeholders, Government Officials Meet At CREDAI Maha Samwad 2026 To Address Sectoral Issues
Pune, September 22, 2026: CREDAI Maharashtra organized the CREDAI Maharashtra Managing Committee and CREDAI Maha Samwad Meeting 2026 on August 27 at the Hyatt Regency in Pune. The day-long event witnessed the participation of more than 300 members from 45 cities across the state to engage in direct dialogue with senior administrative officials on regulatory, technical, and policy challenges facing the real estate industry, CREDAI Maharashtra said in a press release.
Held under the leadership of Prafulla Taware, President, CREDAI Maharashtra, and Ashish Pokharna, Honorary Secretary, the summit provided a platform to discuss issues spanning registration, land records, MahaRERA, town planning, UDCPR, and housing governance. Former organization presidents Satish Dada Magar, Shantilal Kataria, Rajendrasingh Jabinda, Pramod Khairnar, and Sunil Furde were also present.
In the session on registration and stamps, Ravindra Binwade, Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamps, outlined digital initiatives aimed at transparent and citizen-centric services, highlighting the Model Sub-Registrar Office at Kothrud. Developers raised concerns regarding footnotes in the Annual Statement of Rates (ASR) and errors in the digitalization of 7/12 extracts and Property Cards. Officials assured members that these issues would be considered positively for swift resolution.
Addressing land records, Shelesh Nawal, Settlement Commissioner and Director of Land Records, detailed the e-Mojni system for online measurements and emphasized the need for consistent engagement. Nawal suggested organizing regular interaction sessions with CREDAI Maharashtra to understand ground-level difficulties and communicate departmental initiatives effectively.
A dedicated session on MahaRERA focused on project compliance, quarterly progress reports, and migrating to the MahaRERA 2.0 portal, featuring inputs from Prakash Sabale, Secretary, MahaRERA, and Jitendra Joshi, Appellate Authority (Aas-IT). Meanwhile, Jitendra Bhople, Director, Town Planning and Valuation Department, addressed town planning concerns, including the 15 percent premium levied in planned residential areas across 11 districts and physical file submission overlaps in the online building permission process.
The event concluded with discussions on housing society legalities led by Nagnath Kanjeri, Deputy Registrar (Housing Branch). Prafulla Taware, President, CREDAI Maharashtra, stated, “Continuous, transparent and positive dialogue between the government and developers is essential for the overall development of the real estate sector. Through the Maha Samwad, practical issues can be placed directly before the concerned officials, providing a direction towards finding workable solutions.”
