Kalpataru Adopts Maharashtra Government’s Model Sub Registration Office for Property Registrations
Mumbai, September 25, 2026: Kalpataru Limited has become one of the first real estate developers in Mumbai to adopt the Model Sub Registration Office system, an initiative launched by the Inspector General of Registration, Government of Maharashtra, in collaboration with VFS Global to simplify property registrations, Kalpataru said in a press release.
The developer utilized the facility at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai to provide a streamlined and customer-centric registration process for homebuyers.

Munot added that the initiative offers an added advantage to consumers and has the potential to transform property registrations across Maharashtra into a more consumer-friendly ecosystem.
Designed to replace traditional multi-day timelines, the Model Sub Registration Office uses technology and professional processes to speed up clearances. Subject to complete documentation and fulfillment of formalities, the registration can be completed within approximately 30 minutes, with same-day documentation facilitated under the new setup. The center currently operates with a capacity of approximately 30 registration tokens per day.
Operated alongside VFS Global, the center features lounge-style waiting areas and a hospitality-led environment managed by trained staff to improve the administrative experience for buyers. The adoption aligns with Kalpataru’s focus on integrating technology-led services across various stages of the homebuying process.
