Pune, September 30, 2026: Griha Sanjivan Foundation, in partnership with Foxscan, has launched a Building Diagnostic Experience Centre in Pune. The non-profit initiative aims to strengthen the integration of technology and data in building inspection, diagnosis, and maintenance while creating skill development opportunities for civil engineers, contractors, painters, and maintenance personnel.

The Experience Centre demonstrates how technology-led diagnostic methods can identify building defects early and guide informed maintenance decisions. The platform incorporates purpose-built hardware, high-resolution imaging, integrated laser measurements, and artificial intelligence models developed using data from over 40,000 inspected properties to automate defect analysis and generate corrective recommendations.

Addressing the gap in diagnostic technology, Abhishek Jagdale, Founder & CEO, Foxscan, said, “The industry has no shortage of chemical and paint products. The real gap is consistent diagnosis. Foxscan is building that missing intelligence layer by combining purpose-built hardware, AI, software and data from more than 40,000 inspected properties. Our goal is to help professionals diagnose with greater accuracy, explain problems with evidence and generate actionable reports within seconds.”

The initiative encourages a transition from reactive repair to preventive building maintenance. By assessing moisture, dampness, and surface deterioration before painting or interior work begins, technology-assisted inspections can reduce unnecessary repairs, repeated interventions, and material wastage. The center will also run upskilling programs for housing-society maintenance supervisors and civil professionals.

Emphasizing accessibility and professional development, Milind Jagtap, Chairman, Griha Sanjivan Foundation, said, “This initiative is about taking advanced building diagnostics beyond specialists and making it accessible to contractors, painters, engineers and housing societies. By upskilling professionals and bringing inspection economics closer to Rs 500, we want to improve livelihoods, reduce failed repairs and unnecessary material consumption, and move building maintenance from reactive repair to preventive care.”

The Pune facility provides live demonstrations and simulations to help industry workers integrate scientific diagnostic tools into standard construction and maintenance workflows.
