UP RERA Approves 11 Real Estate Projects Worth Over Rs 2,086 Crore

Lucknow/ Gautam Budh Nagar, October 1, 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has approved 11 new real estate projects spanning five districts in the state. Involving an estimated investment of Rs 2,086.06 crore, the developments will construct 1,873 residential and commercial units, giving a significant boost to urban infrastructure, local economic activity, and employment opportunities, UP RERA said in a press release.

The approvals were finalized during the 215th Authority Meeting held at the UP RERA headquarters, chaired by Sanjay Bhoosreddy, Chairman, UP RERA. The Authority confirmed that all construction will adhere strictly to RERA Act provisions, with active monitoring to ensure completion within stipulated timelines.

Gautam Buddh Nagar secured the largest share of capital, attracting Rs 1,800.36 crore across two residential projects that will deliver 1,398 units. Meanwhile, Lucknow recorded the highest number of approvals with five projects—two residential and three commercial—involving an investment of Rs 169.53 crore and 198 units.

Among other districts, Ghaziabad received approval for two residential projects worth Rs 106.84 crore to build 211 units. Barabanki secured one residential project of Rs 5.78 crore for 53 units, while Moradabad received approval for a commercial project valued at Rs 3.55 crore to develop 13 units.

The massive capital influx is expected to generate a multiplier effect, energizing allied industries such as construction materials, engineering, transportation, and labor. UP RERA reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining transparency and protecting consumer rights throughout the execution phase.

Speaking on the approvals, Bhoosreddy said that the Authority is continuously working to make real estate sector in the state more organised, transparent and accountable. Along with granting timely approvals to projects as per the prescribed process, the Authority is also monitoring their development.

He added that UP RERA is working to ensure effective compliance with the provisions of the RERA Act and to maintain a clear and reliable system for both promoters and homebuyers. He noted that the Authority will continue to promote balanced and well-planned real estate development in the state while protecting the interests of consumers.
