Faridabad, October 5, 2026: Cinépolis India, the nation’s first international cinema exhibitor, has launched a new four-screen multiplex at Amolik’s City Life Mall in Sector 28, Faridabad, according to an official press release issued by the company.

The launch expands the company’s footprint in Faridabad to eight screens, coming less than a year after the opening of its first multiplex in the city at Pacific Mall. Spread across four screens with a capacity of 549 seats, the new property features recliner seating, Dolby sound systems, and the exhibitor’s gourmet food and beverage menu. The cinema opened ahead of the Gandhi Jayanti long weekend, with introductory ticket prices starting at Rs 149 through October 15, 2026.

With this addition, Cinépolis India now operates 16 cinemas comprising 78 screens across the Delhi NCR region, following recent expansions in Gurugram and Dwarka.

Speaking on the launch, Devang Sampat, Managing Director, Cinépolis India, said: “For us, growth is really a catchment question. Sector 28, has settled residential neighbourhoods on every side, and Faridabad is a big city, so there’s room here for more than one Cinépolis. The choice of mall matters just as much. Amolik has built City Life as a place where families already come to eat and shop, and a good cinema gives them one more reason to spend the evening there. When a cinema runs well, the businesses around it do well too.”

Developing partner Amolik constructed City Life Mall to serve the surrounding residential catchments in Sector 28, building on its existing portfolio of residential and commercial projects across the city.

Commenting on the partnership, Hitesh Choudhary, Director, City Life Mall, said: “We built City Life Mall for the families who live around Sector 28, and a good cinema was always part of the plan. With Cinépolis here, people can shop, eat and watch a film in one evening without leaving the neighbourhood. Faridabad has changed a lot in the last ten years, and people here want good places to go out close to home. That’s what City Life Mall is for.”
