Mumbai, October 7, 2026: JSW Cement has commissioned an additional 1.00 MTPA cement grinding unit at its Nagaur facility in Rajasthan, raising the company’s total installed grinding capacity to 25.10 MTPA, according to a press release issued by the company.

The expansion boosts the total cement grinding capacity of the Nagaur Integrated Plant to 3.50 MTPA, expanding the producer’s reach across Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and the National Capital Region. The company initially entered the North Indian market in March 2026 with the launch of the Nagaur facility, which originally featured a 3.30 MTPA clinkerisation unit and a 2.50 MTPA grinding unit. Following the expansion, JSW Cement’s total clinker manufacturing capacity, including its joint venture JSW Cement FZC, stands at 9.74 MTPA. The capital expenditure for the expansion project was financed through a combination of equity and long-term debt.

During the quarter ending September 30, 2026, the company also operationalized an Alternate Fuel Handling System and a Waste Heat Recovery System (WHRS) at the Nagaur plant to improve operational efficiency.

Nilesh Narwekar, CEO of JSW Cement, highlighted the strategic value of the new unit. “The commissioning of additional 1.00 MTPA grinding capacity at Nagaur is a key strategic priority for us and will accelerate JSW Cement’s expansion into North India,” Narwekar said. “We look forward to servicing the growing needs of the region and contributing to the economic growth of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and the NCR area. I am delighted to share that the company has commissioned this grinding unit within the expected timeline, showcasing our project execution capabilities. Further, the Alternate Fuel Handling System and the Waste Heat Recovery system (WHRS) are expected to substantially reduce our production costs going forward.”
