Chennai, October 8, 2026: CREDAI Tamil Nadu will host the fifth edition of STATECON, its flagship platform for the State’s real estate and construction industry, on October 11 and 12, 2026 in Chennai, according to a press release issued by the organization. Alongside the event, the real estate body will launch the first edition of FAIRBUILD 2026, a B2B construction and building materials expo designed to connect vendors, suppliers, and original equipment manufacturers with real estate developers, architects, and decision-makers. JLL has been named the Knowledge Partner for STATECON 2026.

The event will bring together CREDAI members from chapters across Tamil Nadu, alongside policymakers and leaders from the real estate, finance, technology, and construction sectors. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and State Government Ministers are expected to attend. The conference will feature focused discussions on regional real estate growth drivers, changing homebuyer expectations, access to capital, policy, ease of doing business, PropTech, and emerging construction technologies.

Highlighting the expansion across the State, W S Habib, President, CREDAI Tamil Nadu, said: “Tamil Nadu has tremendous potential, and that potential is now spreading well beyond Chennai. Cities such as Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Hosur, Salem and Thoothukudi are all growing at the same time, and our industry must grow with them. CREDAI Tamil Nadu is present in 10 cities today. At STATECON, we will welcome five new chapters, taking our presence to 15 cities.” He added, “To unlock the State’s full potential, we will keep working closely with the Government. Our priorities are progressive policies, greater ease of doing business, faster and more transparent approvals, digitisation and sustained investment in urban infrastructure.”

Elaborating on the objective of the conference, Srikumar Swaminathan, Secretary, CREDAI Tamil Nadu, said: “The way people buy homes, the way projects are financed and the way buildings are built are all changing quickly. STATECON gives developers, policymakers, financiers and technology partners the chance to sit in the same room and talk openly about these changes.”

Focusing on the B2B expo, S Sivagurunathan, Advisor, CREDAI FAIRBUILD, said: “FAIRBUILD brings all of them together under one roof. We are not positioning it as a display exhibition. It is a serious business platform where developers can discover new products, evaluate solutions and build relationships that turn into real procurement.”

Outlining the procurement initiative, Gugan Ilango, Convener, STATECON & FAIRBUILD 2026, said: “We are bringing the purchase teams of our member developers from across the State to Chennai and taking care of their stay so they can spend both days on the floor. For a supplier, that means meeting decision-makers from across the State in one place.”
