New Delhi, October 15, 2026: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TuTr Hyperloop Private Ltd, an IIT Madras-incubated deep-tech mobility startup, to explore opportunities in developing and deploying next-generation mobility technologies and infrastructure in India, according to a press release issued by the company.

The agreement establishes a framework for joint exploration of the emerging mobility ecosystem, with project-specific engagements to be executed through separate agreements. The collaboration aims to combine L&T’s engineering, procurement, and construction capabilities with TuTr Hyperloop’s expertise in indigenous electromagnetic propulsion and advanced mobility systems.

The two entities will evaluate opportunities across domains including Linear Induction Motor-based propulsion systems, vacuum tube infrastructure, pressure management, civil and structural works, electrical infrastructure, signaling, telecommunications, and systems integration. They will also explore potential applications in freight, logistics, port connectivity, and industrial transportation. For TuTr Hyperloop, the partnership aligns with its plan to build modular mobility technologies, starting with linear induction motor systems and progressing toward magnetic levitation and vacuum-based transit.
