Noida Authority’s notice to Realtors
The Noida Authority on Monday issued notices to real estate companies, asking them to submit affidavits mentioning steps taken by them to comply with the National Green Tribunal’s (NGT) directive on curbing dust pollution. Anyone failing to follow the norms will be fined Rs 50,000 and the project will be sealed. The NGT directive to this effect came on April 7 after which the Noida Authority had issued its earlier notices on April 9.
Manoj Rai, officer on special duty at Noida Authority, said that the notices had been served to all group and individual housing, institutional and commercial properties under construction. A delegation from the Confederation of Real Estate developers association of India (CREDAI) met Noida Authority officials on Monday and assured them the guidelines would be followed.
The Authority has also asked the DM and officials of the transport department to take stringent action against vehicles transporting construction material without following norms.
