Yadav case accused told to appear in court on April 29
CBI court on Tuesday took cognisance of the chargesheet the central probe agency had filed against suspended Noida Authority chief engineer Yadav Singh and 13 others in a corruption case in which contracts worth Rs 954.38 crore were awarded in violation of norms.
According to a published media report, the court ordered that all the accused named in the chargesheet, including Yadav Singh’s wife Kusumlata and Directors of three firms, must be present in the court on April 29.
Singh and his aide Ramendra Singh, who are presently lodged in Dasna Jail, were on Tuesday produced in the court after their three-day judicial custody ended.
“Special CBI Judge (anti-corruption) G Sree Devi on Tuesday took cognisance of the chargesheet filed by CBI on March 15 and ordered those named to be present in the court on April 29,” said public prosecutor BP Singh.
According to a CBI source, those named in the charge sheet includes Singh’s wife Kusumlata, the then Noida project engineer Ramendra Singh, assistant project engineers Deviram Arya and Jaipal Singh, and junior engineers Rajeev Kumar, RD Sharma and Ompal Singh. Directors of three firms, Tirupati Constructions, JSP Construction and NKG Infrastructure, have also been named.
