Odisha CM meets Naidu, assures speedy implementation of state projects

Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik called on M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (HUPA) and Parliamentary Affairs in New Delhi on June 3.

Both sides reviewed the implementation of the urban development projects in Odisha, especially those funded out of central funds of the Urban Renewal Mission. Naidu also assured the chief minister all possible help and cooperation of his ministry in the implementation of the projects.

The minister also mentioned that any pending release of funds to the state will be expedited.

“With respect to HUPA projects, any modification required in the schemes to give flexibility of implementation to the state will be discussed in detail,” Naidu said.

Senior officers including secretary, ministry of urban development and secretary, HUPA as well as officials of Odisha government were also present at the meeting. Both Naidu and Patnaik expressed deep grief at the sudden demise of the Rural Development Minister, Gopinath Munde.
