An Environment Protection Awareness Campaign with DPS Wave City: A Tree Plantation Drive

    Wave City plans to Plant 4000saplings& 30K Hedges in this monsoon season

Ghaziabad, Aug 13^th, 2018: Wave has always believed in giving its residents a green living environment. Being the World’s Largest Green Pre-Certified Platinum Rated Township, Wave City aims to raise awareness towards importance of biodiversity for everyone’s well-being. Wave City has always given importance to environment sustainability, and is developing a green and nurturing environment for the coming generations.

Understanding the importance of green living, Wave City recently organised an environment protection awareness campaign in its premises with Delhi Public School (DPS), Wave City. Keeping in mind the rapidly increasing air pollution, which is causing a severe threat to the human health in Delhi/NCR, the drive created an awareness about the importance of trees/greenery in everybody’s life.

The plantation drive saw participation from 150 primary students, teachers & staffs of the school and Wave City management team. With its oxygen producing and environmental enhancement properties, the Red Kaner(Botanical Name: Nerium Oleander), were planted at a long stretch. Apart from these, various other tree varieties are being planted in Wave City like Neem, Kadam, Ashok, Peepal, Bargadh, Pilkhan, Alstonia, Silver Oak, Kachnar Champa, Budhal & Gulab.

Wave City understands the rising concern of climate change and importance of eco-living, and has been actively steering these green drives and developing living spaces keeping in mind the environment issues. The city had also held an environment protection awareness campaign in its premises with ANAROCK. The group planted various variety of plant saplings on the 57 mtr. entry road of the city.
