Naredco Signs Mou With Green Rating For Integrated Habitat Assessment Council

New Delhi, 25th Dec, 2019: NAREDCO (National Real Estate Development Council) has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment), in New Delhi. GRIHA is an indigenous green building rating system developed specifically to suit Indian climate and construction practices.
Commenting on the new development Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, National President, NAREDCO said “The objective of the MoU is to exchange information on the latest developments in our respective fields that are of common interest, and jointly work, in particular to benefit the Real Estate Sector. Both parties will participate in each other’s events and program and will help in the advancement of Green Buildings in India as the mainstream choice for all stakeholders of real estate sector.”
It is also worth mentioning that both parties will jointly approach all the municipal bodies, ULBs, state governments to come up with incentives for GRIHA Certified Green Buildings.
NAREDCO and GRIHA will also involve themselves in developing programs on development of Sustainable Practices and related issues and Seminars, Symposiums, Conferences, target all stakeholders in the Industry like Builders, Consultants, Contractors, Manufacturers and Service providers.
As per the MoU, GRIHA COUNCIL and NAREDCO will promote Training Programs and Certificate course of each other. On the information exchange front Data, Statistics, Trends, Reports impacting Construction and Real estate sector, released by the Government or any International Agencies, will be shared among the two Parties. To promote information exchange both GRIHA COUNCIL and NAREDCO will post news, developments, upcoming events and articles of interest of the other Society, on their respective websites.
Also For annual events such as GRIHA Summit by GRHIA COUNCIL and ‘National Convention’ by NAREDCO, both parties, in their gatherings and programs held all over India and on their website, will give wide publicity to the annual event of each other in order to maximize participation of potential exhibitors, promotes, visitors and delegates in the exhibition and concurrently held Seminars and Workshops.
This MoU has been signed for a period of five years and can be further extended with mutual consent.
