Gaurs International School Students Release Anthem to Promote Voter Awareness

Students of Gaurs International School (Yamuna Expressway) have released an anthem to promote voter awareness on the commencement of the 2024 election to Lok Sabha. Called “Matdaata Jagrukta Geet” it has been sung, written, and composed by the school students and seeks to disseminate information about the importance of voting and also to encourage the public to come out and vote in large numbers.
The first round of voting for Lok Sabha commenced on April 19, 2024.

“At Gaurs International School, we are dedicated to raising politically, socially and culturally aware students. With around 67% voter turnout in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, we still need to increase the country’s election participation. We hope that this anthem will encourage people in large numbers to exercise their rights,” said Manju Gaur, Director, Gaurs Group of Schools.
The anthem is in Hindi and showcases the creativity and initiative of the students, who have taken an active role in engaging with important civic issues.
