SAIL Receives SHRM HR Excellence Awards

New Delhi / October 22, 2024: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has been awarded with SHRM – HR Excellence Awards for ‘Excellence in Inclusion, Equity & Diversity’ and ‘Excellence in Managing the Distributed Workforce’ categories at the prestigious SHRM India Annual Conference 2024 held in New Delhi, recently, the company said in a statement. 

The awards recognize the innovative HR practices and initiatives implemented by SAIL’s various plants and units across India to foster inclusive workforce growth. The company values its employees as crucial to its success and places them at the center of its operations. SAIL has consistently implemented various measures to enhance employee motivation and engagement, the statement added. 

Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (I/C) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, addressed the gathering at the ward ceremony. Many industry stalwarts also shared their views and insights on the occasion. During one of the interactive sessions, K.K. Singh, Director (Personnel), SAIL spoke about innovative HR practices at SAIL and also highlighted the importance of HR in building a resilient Workforce in the contemporary ‘Competitive Business Environment’.
