An upgraded version of Xenius SEMS app
Electricity billing problems are set to be a thing of the past with the Government mandating conversion to smart meters. Radius Synergies’ IA and IoT-based Smart Prepaid Metering Solution has already proven to be a leader in this segment. Now it has come up with an upgraded version, SEMs Plus, which is much better and faster than its predecessor.
The Government, in its latest announcement, has called for all electricity meters to be converted to smart meters. The move is a manifestation of the fact that it is planning to make the country future-ready.

Gone are the days when consumers had to face problems with their electricity bills. With manual reading, they had to frequently face discrepancies in their electricity bills. The process of bill-rectification was also tedious as everything was dependent on the competency (or lack of it) of the lineman who took the meter reading manually. Besides, these meters were highly vulnerable and prone to tampering, leading to huge financial losses to the Electricity Department.
With technologies like Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in place, companies like Radius Synergies have launched their Smart Prepaid Metering Solution to help consumers as well as power utilities, to bill and collect revenue on a single platform. Radius’ platform Xenius has now come up with its upgraded SEMS Plus mobile app.
The new app has an ‘Overview’ tab which displays all the necessary details like the available balance, grid status, DG (diesel generator) status and the current status of the consumer’s account. It also displays the sanctioned load of a particular unit with daily electricity consumption, besides showing the monthly electricity consumption.
Consumers can recharge their account online through the SEMS Plus mobile app. For that, it has all the payment options like credit card, debit Card and UPI. The consumers can also verify their payments by viewing their recharge history. They also have the facility to view and download their daily, monthly and annual reports and can also compare their previous reports for optimisation. This feature helps the consumers to be more energy-efficient.
The Electricity Department comes in ‘essential’ services and any shortcomings of the payment gateway or the mobile app can cost it lakhs of rupees. The new upgraded Xenius SEMS Plus mobile app is much better and even faster than its predecessor. It also has a better design and is more user-friendly providing better user experience. Apart from all that, the app also allows integration with EVCD, the EV charging portal of Radius.
