Ashiana Housing holds sports, cultural festival for the seniors

Ashiana Housing Ltd. organised Jashn 2015, as ports and cultural festival at Bhiwadi in the NCR during the weekend which took the senior citizens back to their college days.

According to a press release, Jashn 2015, the second edition, saw over 500 senior citizens’ (aged 50-75) from Bhiwadi, Lavasa and Jaipur participating with full vigour and energy. With the theme being ‘Back to college’, there were a host of interesting activities to make the two days the most memorable moments in the senior citizens’ lives.

The zeal to bring alive those college days was seen in all the actions (from attire to accent) of senior citizens. While elderly women were dressed in long skirts and sleeve-less short kurta or Patiyalas and kurta with a pony tail or open hair, the senior men were seen wearing their boxers and T-shirt or bellbottoms and shirts.

From an elderly competing in a walking competition, to grey-haired men engrossed in a carom competition, a table tennis match between two old yet fashionable ladies to an elderly smart couple walking the ramp—all were part of Jashn 2015.
