TS-bPASS is a pioneering and revolutionary reform introduced by Telangana state, doing away with endless wait and bureaucratic hurdles and making approvals more user-friendly and hassle-free, it said.

A press release said, Credai Hyderabad played a pivotal role in the formulation of the policy with a thorough evaluation and inputs from all stakeholders for the smooth execution of TS-bPASS.

The TS-bPASS is a self-certification system to make citizens responsible and ensure that they adhere to the building and layout permission rules. As per the new law, people constructing a building within 75 sq. yards land need not obtain any permission from the authorities. However, they must register with the urban local body using TS-bPASS. Similarly, citizens can obtain instant permission for constructions to an extent of 75 sq. yards to 600 sq. yards through self-certification under TS-bPASS and commence their construction work.

Ramakrishana RaoRK Rao, President, Credai Hyderabad, said, “We welcome the launch of TS-bPASS, a pioneering initiative by the state Government to provide a single-window approval process for the real estate sector. This will help to reduce human interference and bring transparency in issuing building permissions in a time-bound manner through a process of self-certification.”
