Diwali gift for Greater Noida homebuyers as Authority plans to issue OC to 21 housing projects
The Greater Noida authority on Thursday said it expects to issue occupancy certificates to 21 group housing projects by October 15.
These 21 housing projects will be ready for occupation by homebuyers, many of whom are suffering as projects got delayed by five-six years. The projects were delayed due to litigation over housing land and dip in sales, officials said.
The authority officials held a meeting at the Chitvan Estate office on ways to expedite the issuance of occupancy certificates.
“These 21 projects have 3,500-4,000 flats and are nearing completion. Physical inspection of these projects has already been done by us. I have instructed the staff to issue occupancy certificates by October 15, before Diwali. To expedite the process, I will ask builders to submit the necessary documents soon,” said Deepak Agarwal, CEO, Greater Noida Authority.
Twelve of these projects are located in Greater Noida west, where the delay was due to litigation over land between the government and farmers. Nine projects are located in other parts of Greater Noida.
These projects are developed by realty firms such as Ajnara, Panchsheel, Exotica, Sam India, Earth and Supertech Group, among others.
Officials said that 90% of the paperwork related with occupancy certificate of these 21 projects is completed.
The Authority said that it will also ensure that buyers shift into these projects only after executing the registry of their flats.
