Early Festive Bookings Fall for 50.8% of Property Sales Teams, but 9 in 10 Reporting Growth Use AI: Privyr Survey

New Delhi, October 27, 2026: Half of the real estate sales teams surveyed across India report lower bookings so far this festive season compared to the previous year, according to a survey press release by mobile-first CRM provider Privyr. Despite the broader slowdown, 14 of the 15 organizations reporting higher bookings actively utilize artificial intelligence to manage prospects and leads.

The survey, which covered 63 real estate organizations representing approximately 300 property consultants, revealed that 50.8% of organizations experienced lower festive bookings, while 23.8% reported an increase. A geographic split showed that 62.5% of organizations in Tier 1 cities reported lower bookings, compared to 38.7% in other markets.

Overall, two-thirds of surveyed organizations currently use AI, and 20 of the 21 non-users plan to adopt it soon. The data highlights a strong correlation between performance and technology adoption in lead management. Converting prospective buyers requires extensive effort, with 44.4% of teams needing at least eight follow-ups to convert a serious lead, and 22.2% requiring 13 or more. Among organizations needing four or more follow-ups, 57.8% reported lower festive bookings, compared to 33.3% among those needing one to three follow-ups.

Buyer hesitation stems primarily from financial concerns rather than promotion quality. Prices exceeding budgets were cited by 42.9% of respondents as the main barrier, followed by job and income uncertainty at 30.2%. Only 7.9% attributed buyer hesitation to unattractive festive offers.

“Festive seasons used to be about offers. This year, buyers want reassurance, and that is turning every sale into a series of conversations. Generating a lead is only the beginning. The teams growing their bookings are the ones keeping those conversations going and making sure promising buyers don’t go cold, and almost all of them already use AI to help. With Diwali still ahead, there is time for others to catch up,” said Shivam Mani Tripathi, Co-Founder, Privyr.
