Embassy Group has introduced an FM skill development programme for students from Government schools adopted by it. Upon completion of the four-month course in various verticals of facility management, the students will find job placements at Technique Control Facility Management, a 100 pc subsidiary of Embassy services.
The integrated facility management arm of the Embassy Group currently employs over 7,000 professionals across the country.
Through this skilling programme, the Group aims to provide more opportunity to the underprivileged as well as fill the demand for skilled professionals in the booming industry, said a press release.
Shaina Ganapathy, Head – Community Outreach Initiatives for Embassy Group, said, “Embassy Group has been active in initiatives that are focused on students. We have adopted Government schools for the very same reason – to provide quality opportunities to the next generation. This skill development programme is designed considering the careers of the outbound students. This will not only carve a path for them in terms of jobs but also direct them towards an industry that has the potential to contribute towards their professional growth”
Anand GD, Chief Operating Officer, TCFM, said, “Modern-day facility management has risen beyond limits to become an integral part of human sustenance. Considering that it is among the largest employers of blue-collar workers, professionalising the sector and aiding employees with ESI, PF, etc. adds immense value to our people. Through this skilling programme, we educate the students on the vast opportunities available to them and prove it by giving them job placements within our own organisation.”
