Greater Chennai Corporation, CREDAI Chennai, and Dhruti Charitable Trust Launch ‘Mind Mantra’ Workplace Wellness Programme

Chennai, August 11, 2026: The Greater Chennai Corporation, in collaboration with CREDAI Chennai and Dhruti Charitable Trust, has launched “Mind Mantra,” a 360-degree workplace wellness programme aimed at promoting the holistic well-being of civic employees. Supported by the civic body, the initiative features corporate social responsibility funding from CREDAI Chennai, while Dhruti Charitable Trust will manage the implementation and delivery through qualified mental health professionals, CREDAI Chennai said in a press release.

Designed to offer a comprehensive support system addressing physical, psychological, and social dimensions, the programme will feature confidential psychometric screening, individual psychological counselling, stress-management workshops, mindfulness initiatives, and support groups. Confidential counselling will be offered via both on-site and virtual modes, focusing on building awareness, encouraging early help-seeking, and reducing mental health stigma. Additionally, selected employees will be trained as “Mental Health Champions” to act as peer ambassadors within the organization.
The initiative is also slated to be extended to the Greater Chennai Police, acknowledging the demanding nature of police work and the need for structured emotional support for personnel. Through this framework, the partnering organizations aim to create a confidential and sustainable mental health ecosystem across municipal and public service sectors.
“At CREDAI Chennai, we strongly believe that our responsibility towards the city goes beyond building homes and creating infrastructure. It also extends to supporting the people who work every day to keep our city functioning. For CREDAI Chennai, this is not merely a CSR programme. It is our small way of giving back to the people and institutions that serve Chennai every single day,” said Mehul H Doshi, President, CREDAI Chennai.
