Haryana RERA Sets Aside Cancellation, Directs MRG Infrabuild to Reinstate Gurugram Unit

Gurugram, November 29, 2025: Adjudicating the case of a Gurugram allottee, The Haryana real estate regulatory authority of Gurugram has directed real estate promoter MRG Infrabuild Pvt Ltd to reinstate the cancelled unit in 30 days and pay the delay possession charges at prescribed rate of interest. The order has brought a big relief to the bonafide allottee whose unit the promoter had cancelled in July 2023.
“The respondent is directed to pay delay possession charges to the complainant against the paid up amount at the prescribed rate of interest as per Section 18(1) of the Act of 2016. And respondent is also directed to handover the possession of the unit to the complainant,” the Authority order said.
Complainant allottee Amit Kumar Pandey had booked a unit in affordable group housing society The Meridian, Sector 89, Gurugram, and paid full sale consideration amount. The order said that the respondent builder cancelled the unit of complainant cum bonafide allottee Amit Kumar Pandey in July 2023 on account of outstanding dues.
The order further said that the complainant made a payment of INR 25,75,559/- which is more than 100 per cent of the total sale consideration.
