Housing.com Expands in Odisha, Launches Its Operations in Bhubaneswar
Feb 23, 2024: Housing.com, India’s premier digital real estate platform, announces the launch of its operations in Bhubaneswar. With a focus on expanding into emerging markets, the company aims for a high double-digit annual growth rate over the next three years from tier–II markets, says a press release issued by the company.
In Bhubaneswar, online homebuyer activity indicates a strong interest in apartments with larger configurations, followed by villas and plots. Preference is shifting towards gated communities and projects offering a wide range of amenities, reflecting a desire for spacious and well-equipped living spaces that prioritize convenience and security.
Moreover, a growing number of property buyers are gravitating towards apartments with configuration sizes of 2.5 and 3.5 BHK. Key areas such as Patia, Pahala, Khandagiri, Patrapada, and Rasulgarh are gaining traction due to their growth potential and investment opportunities, highlighting the city’s dynamic real estate landscape.
As part of its comprehensive business expansion strategy, Housing.com organized a meet-and-greet event in Bhubaneswar on Feb 21, 2024. The event brought together prominent real estate developers and property advisors in the region, providing them with a platform to network, exchange insights, and stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. This event signifies Housing.com’s commitment to extending its reach to India’s Tier-II markets.

Amit Masaldan, Chief Revenue Officer of Housing.com, expressed his excitement about the growth strategy, stating, “Bhubaneswar boasts a diverse range of residential options, from luxury apartments to villas, enriched by integrated townships and mixed-use developments. Our robust expansion in emerging markets, especially in Bhubaneswar, reflects the city’s allure as an opportunity hotspot. With remote work trends on the rise, Bhubaneswar’s tranquil charm has become a magnet for those seeking serenity.”

Ankita Sood, Head of Research at Housing.com, stated, “Bhubaneswar, situated near the eastern coastline of Odisha, serves as a pivotal hub for economic and educational activities within the state. Bhubaneswar has surged ahead with an impressive 126-point lead over the average of the top 42 cities on our IRIS index, showcasing a robust increase in high-intent property purchase activity. This heightened demand has consequently propelled prices upward, notably in sought-after areas such as Patia, Khandagiri, and Pahala.”
