IGBC honour for Wave Group

Wave Infratech, the real estate arm of Wave Group, has been awarded with the title of the largest contributor to the green building movement in the country by IGBC. Till date, Wave Group has registered 509.32 million sq. ft. of green footprint qualifying for the title by the Indian Green Building Council.
According to a press release, with this honour, Wave Group has joined the club of few esteemed players in the world to have such an enormous green footprint.
Reacting to the development, RK Panpalia, Managing Director, Wave Group, said “This is indeed a solid testament to our ground-breaking and sustainable efforts. We believe that it is a primary responsibility of the real estate fraternity to ensure an environment-friendly society. We remain fully committed to energy-efficient applications, renewable energy, rainwater harvesting and water recycling, etc. in all our projects”.
Prem C. Jain, Chairman, IGBC, said: “Wave Group has contributed the largest to IGBC with 500 million sq.ft. of green building space registered in different projects across India.”
IGBC is one of the premier councils in the country which not only works closely with state governments, Central Government and the World Green Building Council in promoting green building concepts, but also confers certification to buildings across the country.
