Commenting on the results, Satish Kumar Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, Kamdhenu Limited, said: “H1 FY27 has been a period of steady progress for Kamdhenu, reflecting the resilience of our brand and the operating leverage of our asset-light, franchise-led model. Revenue from Operations grew 11% YoY to Rs. 428 crore, Profit Before Tax rose 25% to Rs. 68 crore and Profit After Tax increased 31% to Rs. 52 crore with PAT margin expanding 190 bps to 12.3%. Franchisee volumes grew 11% YoY to 20 lakh MT, which lifted brand sales turnover by 16% to more than Rs.12,700 crore. These higher franchise volumes coupled with increase in selling price pushed the royalty income up by 11% to Rs. 96 crore and was the key contributor to our margin expansion.”
He added: “The second half has traditionally been the stronger period for our business, driven by a post-monsoon revival in construction activity. Demand should remain well supported by sustained public investment in infrastructure and housing, along with wider adoption of TMT bars and structural steel. At the same time, a greater emphasis on quality standards is accelerating the shift from unbranded to branded TMT bars, a structural trend that favours established brands such as Kamdhenu. Royalty income being the capital-light revenue stream, allows us to keep adding franchise partners while offering customers products they can trust. With disciplined spending and prudent capital allocation, our debt-free balance sheet continues to support healthy returns.”
