Experts' Take
Lalit Jain, Chairman, CREDAI
People want better, cleaner governance, and action. So those who performed well have got elected. Now that is a good sign, because if efficiency is rewarded, it will enhance efficiency further. So I am very positive about it. I think people would like to see the leaders who will deliver and I expect all the parties now to portray such leadership, which is very healthy for our country. Those people who performed well came back to power, those who in public perception did not perform well, did not come back to power, which is a good sign. So ant incumbency by default is ruled out, and efficiency is being rewarded. That is the takeaway of this election.
